On Saturday 1st June 2013, nine individual students from the Halesworth Kuk Sool Won School were presented their respective black belt grades at a ceremony held in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. A week earlier the black belt examination had been held for the candidates at the Waterlane Sports Centre. The grading, which consisted in performing all aspects of the martial arts, was conducted in front of a panel of international Master Instructor’s, as well as the Grandmaster and founder of Kuk Sool Won, In Hyuk Suh, 10thDegree Black Belt.
The successful candidates are as follows;

There was also special acknowledgment and promotion for long-serving student, David Fulcher who has now become one of only a few people from the Halesworth Kuk Sool School to reach the distinguished level of 4thDegree Black Belt. David was origionaly the second student to join the School, but had to take some time after severely injuring his back at work.
The annual Kuk Sool Won European Championships were once again held at Kings Lynn, Norfolk. Unfortunately this year only three students from the Halesworth School entered the competition this year, however the good news is that they all came away with at least two medals each.
